Gunsmithing Good quality brushes?

I use all BoreTech cleaning products and have a few nylon brushes, but have never needed them. Most premium barrels will clean easily with a few patches of solvent followed by a few dry patches and barrel is done. Remove the dirty patch before withdrawing the cleaning rod. Always use a good bore guide. Then mop the chamber with a shotgun mop with small amount of cleaner on it. Caliber of mops will vary with the caliber of your barrel.

Only clean the barrel after every 200-300 rounds or if accuracy starts to fade. I do clean and grease the bolt after every 2-3 range trips and apply a small amount of Kranoil to the bolt face with a Q-tip, depending on the number of rounds fired.

More barrels have their lives shortened by aggressive cleaning than shooting!!!
