Alright guys, I did some searching and I can't find anything on single points for an AR. What do you guys run for slings? It is going on a walking/hiking setup and something with a quick detach would be nice.

thanks for the help

I recommend a good 2-pt sling, such as a padded Vtac.

Get their 2-to-1 adapter for it if you really think you might want a 1-pt. But after trying it both ways, I'm betting that you'll prefer the 2-pt for your application.

What is your rifle set up? Do you have a rail or standard hand guards? If you have a rail get a https://www.gearsector.com/view/product/278/ for the front of your rifle. Get either a https://tangodown.com/shop/tangodown-pr-4-sling-mount/ if you don't want to have to take your stock off and remove the castle nut or go with a Impact Weapons Components if you have the tools to take the castle nut off. Just be careful not to lose the small spring. I run both and am happy with each. For a sling I agree with Drifter. Get a 2 point sling. It will be more versatile and provide better comfort and security. I prefer the Vickers Slings. With the Tango Down PR-4 you can run a 2 point as both a 2 point and a 1 point with ease. My work rifle is set up like this. I like the new Weapon Slings : Vickers 221 Sling but I wish the adapter was a non-rotating version. If you go with the Impact Weapons Components you will need an adapter installed on the sling so make sure you don't get a sling with the QD's sewn in. The adapters I recommend are Sling Hardware : Molded Burnsed Socket and Sling Hardware : Burnsed Socket.
