I found this video with Leupold discussing parallax and thought it does a good job of breaking the subject down Barney style, especially for a new shooter.

My question is this: The guy from leupold states that if you are set at 150 yds and have a 44mm objective lens, then shoot a target at 300 yards that your parallax being off will induce an error of the size of the objective. At 600 yards that doubles again. I have not had time to play around with my S&B just to get an idea of how "off" I can be at 600 yards + from having my parallax of, but for those here who are experienced, is this calculation about right.
Another question is do you guys generally pick a mid-range to run the parallax at on a timed match stage with 1-2moaish targets and not touch it, or focus on the furtherest target, or adjust for each while making turret adjustments.
