This is not your usual transfer question. I don't want to buy a rifle from over seas; but there is a guy in the Netherlands that want's to buy one from me. So my question is can a M1 be shipped to the Netherlands Legally? I know there is some kind of band on US war material exports so that's one problem. Do surplus obsolete weapons can as war material. Two, if it's legal on this end how do you go about doing it? Does the weapon have to go through an exporter or is there a special license needed? I'm not going to do a thing if it's not legal but at the same time it seems like a interesting problem to explore. Donald
