I took my Anshutz 1416 heavy out this weekend. I topped it off with Warne base and rings and a Bushy 3-9 Elite 4200.
It shot great and I'm happy. I am new to a nice bolt rimfire. I have a Henry and 10-22, but not a quality bolt gun.

I don't clean my 308 / 300WM often. Every 250+ rounds or so. How often do you clean a quality rimfire?

Any tips on cleaning the barrel . Any Neat alignment widgets used to not damage barrel while cleaning?

Is it possible to shoot it too fast , too many rounds, heaT the barrel too much?

I found the trigger acceptable, do you guys get a trigger job. I don't have the nicer adjustable flat trigger.
Trigger job? Replacement trigger?

You get the idea, I'm all ears.

Thanks shooters.

"How often do you clean a quality rimfire?"
When I get it in my head that it is not grouping as well anymore. Strangely this tends to happen after windy days. Not very often, for many folks once every few thousand rounds. I also avoid all copper plated ammo. I have a superstition that it would make me clean the barrel more often and kinda be a mess in general.

"Any tips on cleaning the barrel . Any Neat alignment widgets used to not damage barrel while cleaning?" Yes, this thingy:
anschutz bore guides | M.Werks, L.L.C.
I use a dewey rod, push through jag, and yes, I also use bronze brushes.

"Is it possible to shoot it too fast , too many rounds, heaT the barrel too much?" I really doubt that, You would have to really keep the mags coming to even make it feel noticeably warm let alone actually cause a problem. I would be surprised if it was even possible to overheat a bolt action .22lr barrel.

Sound wisdom... You can also use an Otis for cleaning.
