I got my TLR-1s in today and put it on my M&P 45.

I love this little thing already! It's bright, not too heavy, and solidly constructed. Can't go wrong for $89.00 flat.

I took a good hard look at the Surefire X300, but I just could not justify the $250. It looks very similar and seems to be very solid.

I picked one up for my work Glock and did a group buy for all the guys on my squad. The TLR-1 is a great value and hasn't failed me yet.

I have the Streamlight and X300. I like the Streamlight better and wish I would've just bought another one instead of the X300. I now own two Streamlights, one with strobe one without

I have the opposite opinion. SF is not 2.5 times better. If the TLR had a switch like SF I would call call it a toss up.

You are right about the switch on the SureFire - BUT that wasn't enough to warrant the extra $$$ in my mind.

That's what a buddy of mine was telling me. I guess it only claims to be submersible to 1 meter for 30 minutes, but he was saying he torture tested one well beyond that and it passed with flying colors.

No I don't... I did see a pic here on the hide of a .45 with the 14 rd mag. I can assure you that the m&p 45 will not disappoint.

I use my TLR-1S' for both pistol, rifle, and shotgun. Great little lights. I like the X300 as well but for the price of one X300 I can get a few TLR-1S and thats what I ended up doing.

I got it from a dealer on ebay around Christmas time. I will go on my account later and see if I can find what dealer it was. I paid $89.00 and the shipping was free.

You will like the light. Its bright and every bit as tough as you would need it to be. My pistol actually fell on the concrete (light first) about a month ago. Beside some minimal cosmetic damage, the light has continued to function flawlessly.
