very nice stuff. when i first ordered Nick was offering a special on the covers for the mini book that Nomad offers. he wasnt offering black in the special but said he had the material and would make me one up. when i got it it was kinda tight and i noticed the paracord for holding the pages was missing. also the pockets in his first design werent deep enough for a mildot master. i emailed Nick and at first i was kinda upset. Nick called me and emailed me and i let him know and he was totally happy to get it taken care of. i sent it back and made a few suggestions based on my observations and he went to work. the pockets are now different, they run from the top to bottom not left to right. that way as you zip it and its held facing down, nothing can slide out of the pockets. the original zipper was hard to get started, i mentioned that and he got that fixed too. my camera batteries are dead, but ill get some pics asap. he threw some shell loops in there for me too so i can hold a pen or two. he was rushing to get them out to me and everybody else and just missed the para, but after we talked i think he made a few changes. i cant be sure since i have only seen the first one and then this one, and they are different. but this one is alot easier to get the data book into and with the way its laid out, i see its much improved over the first version. he was very willing to fix the para issue as well as being open to a few suggestions that i had. they are well worth the price and will serv for quite some time im sure.

even with everything he had going on in his life and buisness recently, he got me taken care of. i would reccomend him to anyone if they are looking for a data book cover. i have no doubt that if you were after a drag bag, or anything else that he makes, he would make you one with the features you want and do everything to suit your requirements. thanks Nick.

Axeman,

The verticle running pockets are for your book only, specific for what you asked for. Other than that the book contains feature you requested.

Sorry for the delay, but glad you are happy with it.

Nick

totally. its a good option for me at least. zipper works easy at the start of closing, its snug and well stitched. no loose or frayed edges, not a thread hanging anywhere. three lines of stitching on the stuff on the edges. everything sealed and fused, whatever the term is. top notch stuff man.

you should get a small tag that you can sew on the inside with your web address or some contact info so when people ask, its easy to give your info... just a thought. post some drag bag photos in here and show off your stuff if you want. thanks for taking care of me, its perfect and the wait was worth it. you had a full plate, i understand

Re: grand river tactical data book covers

I ordered one of his covers in Multicam, from your OP it seems it was one of the 1st Gen ones with the horizontal pockets. I have found it to be of great quality and still recommend it highly. I put the Mildot-Master in the 2nd pocket, and it fits quite securely with pens/pencil/highlighter on the very top pocket clipped. As usual, Nick's work is always great and only gets better.

Nicks gear is top notch just like the man himself. Got to take a look at a bunch of his gear at ASC and was very impressed at the quality. Keep up the great work and thanks for your support for our sport and competitors.
