Mine and Slickrick 0999's grandmother has completed her journey and gone to be with her husband of many years.

She no longer hurts and in the words of my father, "She is with Dad." She had 83 life-filled years, raised a family, laughed, gave of herself, and enjoyed every minute she had. She enjoyed cooking (for me, her sugar cookies with sugar frosting were her signature dish), crafts (she could make Christmas bells with a pair of needle nose pliers and a tin can lid!), and later in life she hung out with and outlaw group known as "The Red Hat Ladies." She loved and laughed! We should all endeavor to do the same.

I thank her for being kind to her adopted grandson and giving me a wonderful father.

Godspeed, Sylvia Stepien.

Re: Grandmother Passed

Sorry to hear of your loss nash.
The sad part about loosing this generation of people is their humbling character and resource of information will be gone. They never forgot, heck you and I can't remember 50% of our High school class.

The description of your grandmother just cut me deep. Sounds like my own grandmother who passed last year and your own could've been twin sisters.

I feel your loss brother. A woman like that can never be replaced but take solace in the fact that you ever had the good graces to know such a woman nonetheless share her blood.
