Greatest Post Apocalyptic Movie of all time ?

Wish A. American (pin name) ever gets off his ass and moves forward with his movie project about his book series "Going Home". If one is ever made about the book "One Second After" or the "Dark Road" series they would be good as long as they're true to the books.
Agree, and a true to book Black Autumn would be pretty awesome as well.

For currently made movies, one that freaked me out at a kid was "The Day After" made in 1983

Black Autumn would be good as well. I remember The day after also, but there was another TV movie years ago that really had folks upset. Don't remember the name but it was like a live news cast with tangos holding folks on a boat (IIRC) that had a Nuke on it. During the commercials it was stressed over & over it was just a movie. I remember the wife coming in mid stream and really getting up set (yea I have a sick sense of humor) as I would mute the commercials. When I told her it was a movie she did not believe me until the next commercial, then I paid for my dark humor for about a week. She told the girls at work and most said they thought it was real, until the commercials as well. Wish I could remember its name as it would be fun to watch it again. It took place some where off the east coast and IIRC they set the Nuke off during a team trying to board the boat. In the 80's, again IIRC,...
