Hey! where's all the tough guys who said they can make that shot with a hand cannon and kill the bear before it killed you.

Hell if that bear had its mind made up you're dead. No matter what ya got. Spray or a gun. IN this instance the shear noise is the life saver.

This is a great example of even the biggest gun is pointless. And a perfect example that in a matter of a few seconds you are literally insignificant and at the mercy of mother nature.

Awesome, awesome footage. Bad memories actually.

Still waiting on the tough guys who are fearless cause they have a handcannon and can "make the shot" to save their lives. Me thinks now that they saw what it is like in real time with a few variables to boot, the reality might have set in.

This photog wasn't really harassing the bear as far as we know so no need to take sides. But when momma has cubs, it is never a good thing to push the limits. You never know what may trip their trigger. Obviously the old spice got to this bear.

Yep, that guy owes his life to pure luck. With a charge like that he could have had all the spray and hanguns he could carry and it wouldn't have helped if that bear decided she was gonna eat him.

The only gun that would have been effective at stopping the bear with a hit would've probably needed its own tripod. Dude got lucky, and it all worked out. That's why I don't mess around with bears. Same reason I don't play on the interstate.
