Anyone with a G4003 willing to mic (or caliper, if its accurate
) their tailstock quill for me.
I have a Smithy 12x36 that is very similar to the G4003, my my tailstock quill has a little too sloppy of a fit between its OD and the ID of the tailstock bore. It also doesn't have the feed distance scale engraved on the side like the Grizzly does. I was thinking of ordering one from Grizzly if they are the same diameter.
Mine has .001 feed increments and feeds .1 per complete revolution, turning clockwise to feed the quill out. I'm thinking this means it has a 10 pitch screw, left hand threads. The G4003 is the same right?
