Has anyone done and in depth review of the recent batch of GRSC scopes? I have googled till it hurts looking for a review.

David Fortier did in the November issue of ShotGun News. It is a review of the Vortex Razor 1-4x24, Ed's GRSC 1-4x24 and the Leatherwood CMR 1-4x24.

I'll try to find that. For some reason Fortier rubs me the wrong way... I just can't take him seriously. Then again I'm a big fan of Dean Spier. But I have met Dean on several occasions and have been awed by his firearms knowledge.

I have not done an in depth, but I spent a fair amount of time with a scope from the very first bug-free batch of Ed's Korean CRS scopes. I also have one of the first Chinese-made CRS prototypes.
Is there a specific question you had in mind?

I almost (pre)ordered 1-4 model year or so ago.
Ended up in another brand, 1-4x too.
Would like to know how are FOV and tunnel effect in 1x magnification. I think that I head from someone who has GRSC 1-4 that those are weak points. Not sure tho.

Just looking for general feedback on overall quality, clarity and adjustments. A comparison against some other scopes of similar magnification would be great. I guess the quality of the glass is the big question for me. In this price range there seems to be a pretty broad range of quality. I love the reticule and am very tempted based on that alone.

I do not recall tunnel vision being an issue at all. It was pretty good on 1x.
As far as adjustments go, magnification ring was pretty smooth. Eyepiece focus stayed put just fine. W/E stayed put once adjusted. I did not check the tracking carefully, since for a scope of this type, it is a moot point. The reticle is used for holdover. The knobs are only for sight in.
Optical quality was decent, but not exceptional. It seemed to be pretty decent for the price range, but the selling point for the scope is definitely the reticle.

Ed actually sent me one of his production scopes back in March to borrow. Before going in to too much - i used it to shoot plates from 50 to 400 yrds 10" plates. On AR15.com there's a couple reviews in the true 1-4 power scopes thread and there's also a thread for just the GRSC scope.
I really liked the m4-62 reticle.

I used one for T&E purposes. I shot it for about 3 months on both a 223-308 AR platforms. The tracking was on par. The ill. ret. was ok for low light, but could not be seen in the daylight. The glass could have been better, but was ok for the money. The horse shoe was the only thing I did not like about the reticle. In my opinion it was to thick and obscured the target. I shot about 3000 rounds combined 223-308 . Overall the scope is good for the investment for the money. I would purchase it over a Burris (not trying to step on anyone's toes with this statement).

I am interested in the GRSC 1-4 scope and haven't been able to see it. I have looked thru the 1-4 BURRIS XTR and the 1-4 MILLETT DMS and I was wondering if the korean made scopes have better glass then the MILLETTs? I heard the older chinese variants were the same and well I was not pleased with the MILLETT's quality at all. I really liked the BURRIS, but don't need that clarity. The BURRIS is true 1x and the MILLETT had way to much fish eye effect on the edges for me.
