I know not the first company or the last but I will not buy another piece of Carhartt gear!

Wasn't "the left" calling Carhartt "racist" a short time ago, because white folk wear their clothes?

Mr. Mark Valade,

Your recent decision to enforce Covid vaccine mandates on your workforce will require me to discontinue the use of your products in our household.

I will no longer purchase Carharrt products, and will be donating the items I currently have to charity.

Sincerely,
A former consumer of your products

Well they did provide an email address for us to respond. :devilish:

It's stuff like that that makes me wish I was an internet troll and not just someone who likes to watch from the sidelines and point and laugh. I'd be sending an email praising them for their decision and talking about how awesome their products are and then signing it as Fauci.

Seriously though, boycotts are fucking retarded. Nobody gives a shit what you buy or don't buy. The level of narcissism some people have is insane! If we stopped buying from companies we don't agree with, we'd all probably be wearing just potato sacks until someone finds a reason to wanna boycott potato sacks. 🙄

Nah bruh.

They chose a political position and it is counter to my political position so I am letting them know to suck your dick.

Those workers have careers they depend on and I want to support them.

The owner of the company can do as he chooses, it is his company. He has made us aware of his choice.

I have sent an email to let him know what my choice is.

Yeah Idgaf if people pay me money for my goods and services or bot

Lol what

Smartass! 😋

We aren't talking about a small mom and pop shop that sells squirrel headed butt plugs. We are talking about a big name clothing company that's been around since 1889. I don't care if I'm in the minority here about my opinions about boycotts, but I just tire of people actually believing their choice in buying something or not will actually have an impact on anything. Then again what do I really care about work clothes because I don't think I've ever bought work clothes because my types of work clothes have always been old clothes I don't wear anymore. Hell, when I used to work on farms as a kid my attire was cutoff shorts and a Corona shirt with the sleeves cut off.

Being in oil and gas I have worn out a number of their coats. Once all the local production companies started requiring FR, carhartt was the major player. There are a lot more choices today and most are actually better. Thank his just makes it an easier choice for me.
Same with Nike, quit buying their shit when crybaby Krapper-knack was at it. I know the little bit of stuff I buy will not make any of them loose a wink of sleep. However I only do what I can for me.

i never bought anything from this company, but my daughter bought a carhartt collar for her dog when she was in buffalo in the fall.
i saw some nice carhartt jackets i thought about getting for her and her bf, but now will spend that money elsewhere.

I stopped buying Carhartt a long time ago. Duluth Trading Company has much better work cloths.

Y’all bought anything recently? I got some stuff for Christmas that cost just as much as their older stuff but it’s not near the quality of the stuff I bought just 2 years ago.

Yeah and this right here is why the left continues to push their agenda down our collective throats. If the freedom loving people of this country would ever get together and use the massive economic stick we have, we could change this, but only the left is actually willing to take action on what they want. "We just want to be left alone"......

I might be in the minority, I believe it does matter how/where I spend my money. At the very least, it matters to me. I try and support local, or made in the USA, or lastly with companies that share my love of liberty and freedom. It is not always possible but I try. No more Carhartt for me.

Judas freakin priest. So you were bounced on your head as a child. So what.

No matter what your fever dreams might tell you, boycotts are a perfectly valid consumer response in a free market capitist society.

Only a socialist or communist would suggest otherwise……

Is Dicks Sporting Goods still around?
Don’t delude yourself. Gun owners, the whinny little bitch girls of political and cultural warfare are still shopping there. It was not long ago that someone on this very forum was bragging about a deal he got there.

K-pop teens are more feared as an economic demographic than us…..

No idea? They still around tho, I know that.

Are they really going broke tho?
They have definitely been knocked back a few pegs. That much is obvious if you have one near you. I don't know their Financials, but they are not doing what they did before they went woke. It was very apparent right after it happened too.

That's true about the feared demographic. It shouldn't be, because we have a lot more money and spend a lot more. We just don't use our power like they do, not to mention we don't have the massive media help to do it either.

Ask Dicks how their political stance treated them.... Get woke, go broke isn't just a saying..

Dick's brand changed before the whole AR nonsense. Even before their anti-gun stance started, their customers were less about guns and hunting and more about soccer mom shit. Hell, the last thing I bought from them was either an SD card or thumb drive (don't remember) and that was years ago.

Carhartt has been foreign made for years. I haven't bought their products for a long time and won't start back. Let'em rot.
They still have "made in the USA" products, their insulated hooded jacket and bibs are my favorites for cold weather work gear...thankfully the ones I have still have a lot of life left in them, so I won't need to replace them any time soon.

I also switched to Duluth for the majority of my work clothes a little over a year ago. Hopefully they don't follow suit. Most of their stuff is made overseas though, which I'm not a fan of.

Collectively we can't decide if we should boycott pro sports, the movie or music industry, but now we are targeting work clothes. I'm retired, but I must say, for the amount of Carhartt crap I buy today, I can't see this decision affecting my buying habits. Maybe not their best decision, trying to survive in this shit political climate can't be easy either.

On dick's, they sell an asston of kids sporting goods, and through all the BS, them not selling guns, I have never met anyone who had ever bought a gun from dick's, so I never assumed they would go tits up from not doing so. dick's has a contract with Rawlings, they market their own model of BB gloves, and can over buy like no tomorrow, they pay for what they sell that yr. Rawlings takes the spillover back at the end of the season and has to mark the gloves as blems, then sell them at cost, which is lower than the equivalent glove Rawlings markets themselves. Seems to me like a lucrative contract to enter into. As long as kids play sports, dicks will be in the game.

Duluth is mostly foreign made, also, but seem to be really high quality for the most part. When I haven't been completely satisfied, returns were pain free.

Correct, I mentioned that in my post...which you quoted.
