Good afternoon fellas! I've been eyeballing the Guide TB630 LRF and Athlon Cronus 35CL-640 for Coyote hunting and shooting heat treated steel for night shoots. Just by looking at them I can tell they are both very similarly manufactured but the specs vary a bit. It looks like the Guide TB630 has a 1920x1080 pixel display while the Athlon Cronus has a 1280x960 resolution. Now with the sensor resolution being equal (640x512 @ 12 microns) am I right in assuming that the 1920x1080 screen will be a lot better when optically zooming in? I'm still fairly new to thermal, I have a BAE UTM that I love and works great but I want to buy another clip on. Thanks in advance for any input!

I'm only seeing the version with no Pic rail mount for $2k at Bobleisure. If someone found the rail mount version, where at are you guys seeing them for that price? I don't need another thermal, but that would be a fantastic deal.

Looks like they make a $180 picatinny adapter with ADM but i seriously hate the way it interfaces. Then the one they sell with the 1.5" ADM mount is attached via screws in a recess on the ADM mount which is like every other one.

Got a good deal on the ADM integrated tb630lrf. So i'll get to see how it compares to the DNT. I expect it to be much better the DNT suffers a little in clip on mode. Looking forward to it.

Any update on how the TB630lrf does compared to the Hydra? I'm particularly interested to hear how it handles the higher magnifications. I'm about to pull the trigger on a TB650LRF. Crazy how affordable they are with the Mil/LE discount.

It’s considerably better than the hydra in regards to a clip on. You can easily use 6x and go as far as 8x-10x.

That’s good to hear. I’m hoping I’ll get a bit more going with the 50mm lense. My previous thermals were the Steiner Gen I’s.

I’m running a 2.5-20 and a 4-16. Does it just get too pixilated with the higher mags? I’m just hoping to be able to use the higher mags for holdovers and more precise shots. Not necessarily to ID at further ranges.

I think past 6x on my Steiner H6Xi it gets a little pixelated. But useable.
