I am currently running a thread on suppressor on my bolt action rifle. I noticed when i took off my suppressor for a quick clean of the rifle I noticed that there was some hardened carbon at the muzzle of the rifle. Is that normal? How do I get it off or do I just leave it on? Please give any advice, thanks.

Normal, you can clean it or leave it...
If you don't use it a lot clean it, if you do, leave it.

Use a brass or nylon brush and solvent. They're softer than the steel the barrel is made from. The crud is just carbon.

Brass brush, little solvent, elbow grease and then some regular gun oil when finished will have you in good shape.
