Im looking for a gunsmith to pillar and devcon bed my Savage 10 fcp in a mcmillan a5. Thought about contacting G.A. Precision. Has anyone sent them a savage or sent one to someone else to be bedded. I've heard good things about Fred at SSS but dont want to wait forever. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Ryan

+1 on do it yourself. Its really not hard, just did mine by researching on the internet and following the tutorial here on the hide. Came out great!

Larry McElroy of Excorio Precision Arms did my rifle. It wasn't a Savage but I know he works on them. He did and excellent job on my rifle. His turn around time was very good and his prices were reasonable.

cheapest price so far is http://www.savagegunsmithing.com/ at $60, but pillars may be more. also McMillan is another option.

You could do it yourself or you could pay someone. On my factory sticks that I put into a McM stock I do myself. On my complete customs I let the smith do it. Not sure what part of OK your in but there are a couple of good smith's here on the hide up your way that could do you a fantastic job. The names are escaping me right now but I think one might go by the name JCH here. I have a GAP bedded rifle, McM bedded rifle and a couple bedded by a smith here in Stephenville TX. Not all are equal but all are very well done.
I am working in Elk City during the week and could help you out if you want to do it yourself depending on location. I could bring my Devcon and Dremel with me.
