I’m hoping someone here can recommend a good gunsmith that can assemble the parts I listed above, a .223 T3x TAC barreled action, TRG 22 stock + trigger, on a KRG W3 backbone.

Most of that should be easy, my main concern is leaving the TRG stock completely OEM, so any inletting or adjustments should be made to the W3 backbone.

Any ideas who could handle this? I’m in Arkansas but willing to ship L48 for the right smith.

That would be an awesome rifle, and something I would love to try for myself. If the geometries of the trigger and bolt handle line up, the biggest issue is likely going to be the magazine. On a TRG the stock and back of the trigger guard hold the magazine, the backbone just has a hole in it for clearance. I don’t know if a TRG-22 .308 mag can be made to work properly with a 223.

I’ll definitely post photos as soon as I am done. For now, it will use AICS 223 magazines, eventually Tikka should bring in the .223 CTR model that they make for other markets and I can try to modify those magazines to work.
