Any one know about H-S Precision built Remmington 700's? I bought one from a guy who bought it 10yrs ago, never fired, seems to be a tack driver, this was before they went with their own actions. Are they as accurate as the new ones?

No matter who makes it all you're really looking for is a straight, consistant dimension barrel, good crown, concentric chamber and decent bedding.
Do those things and it wouldn't matter if Elmer Fudd made it.

Go shoot it, then you can really find out if it is a, "tack driver" or not.
H S makes a quality product.
A Remington action that has been worked over can be just as accurate as any custom action, it just depends if the work is done properly, and HS does good work.
Have fun with it and shoot the crap out of her.
