Looking to replace RE25 as my heavy bullet powder for 243. Temperature sensitivity is wearing me out. I'm sick of replacing broken ejectors, ejector springs, and swollen Lapua brass in the summer. So I bought a jug of H4831SC. Unfortunately, my manual doesnt list a charge weight and Hogdgon's Data Center is down. Can someone give me min/max charges for 115 bullets? I'm hoping to get in the neighborhood of 3000+FPS, but I may have to go with H1000 to get there. I have the Chargemaster warming up so a quick response would be much appreciated.

Range Report - I loaded 5 rounds each of 43, 43.5, 44, 44.5, AND 45 grains of H4823SC and headed for the 200 yard line. I started by shooting my old load of RE25 as a bench mark. Because of the 94 degree temp, the RE25 was generating 3130fps and pressure signs which is why I decided to get away from Alliant powders in the first place. It does however shoot very small groups. Any, with the 4832, 43gr grouped at around 3/4moa. 43.5gr sent 4 rounds into .453 inches center to center plus one stupid flier caused by me. Thats sub 1/4moa, which I'm dang happy with. Slight difficulty with bolt lift but good velocity at 3060fps. 44 and 44.5grains continued to show increased pressure signs and deteriorating accuracy. Didn't bother with the 45s.

So back to the reloading bench. Hopefully I will settle on something between 43 and 43.5 that groups. Thanks again for the starting place fellas.
