Posted ^^ My two favorites so far are grilled using olive oil and steak seasoning and baked halibut with lemons and crusted Parmesan

Me and my dad came home with 133lbs in fillets so a variety of recipes is needed .making chowder out of halibut fillets seems like a crime against humanity....whats next grind up some lobster tails to make tuna helper?

You make that blackened halibut with some good asparagus, a rice pilaf, and nice desert, paired with a nice Sauv Blanc and be ready.

Now that sounds good, will definitely be trying that one.Halibut is so good you don't need to do much to it, right? Great meaty fish.
I like to take a bit of jelly/preserves and cut it with a bit of white vinegar (1:1) and it makes a great fruit glaze. Bake/broil the fish and then glaze and serve. Easy peasy but tastes wonderful.

It used to be here in socal you could catch a decent amount of fish, now they have put in place some serious catch limits to where its damn near not worth going out.
But did the chile juice at least cauterize the cut?Round two.

Remove all old used up vegetables meat and broth.
Dice new vegtables small and add tomatoes hatch geen chili enchilada sauce and the reserved liquid less fat separated out.
And don't use a knife covered in chillies to cut your finger.View attachment 7673306
