Not if you're wearing these.

Re: Happy Birthday Minx

As a birthday present to myself I got myself a spring-assisted knife. It's officially the first weapon I've owned, I suppose, although I don't think it's long enough to be considered a serious weapon. It's real cute, I'll post pics. Digital camo on the outside and the blade reminded me of a K-Bar, that's why I picked it. It's got a seat-belt cutter and glass breaker so, hey, it's got life-saving potential.

I also went to the National Marine Corps museum at Quantico. (I've got pictures.) Anddd there may be 1-2 guns in the works for me. (a .22 and a .20 guage shotgun) So, we'll see.

Congrats on the knife young lady, and a 22 is a great way to go for a first gun regardless of age. In fact a 22 is a great gun period, I highly encourage it.

Re: Happy Birthday Minx

You know Killer, you are seriously setting yourself up to marry a Marine. You will never be happy with anything less(Not a bad thing mind you). You will enjoy the life of a Marine's Spouse tempering your relationship through long arduous deployments, crappy duty hours, field excercises, and shitty little deployments to other fun places.

With a knife like that either on your left belt so your right hand can get it quick or the right if you're a lefty, you have to practice flipping it out with your war face, and asking quietly,"Where you wanna get cut motherfucker?"

Those pics of the museum are kick ass! Definately on my list of places to see in a year or so.

Re: Happy Birthday Minx

I have to go through that museum again. My GPS was set for "Marine Corps Memorial" instead of the museum, which was my fault. It set me back by taking me into DC before I realized, "Fuck, what are we doing here?" In any case, 20 minutes is not enough to see or appreciate half the stuff in this museum. Unfortunately, I was on a time limit because I had an auto-train to catch. When I go back up north, I definitely want to revisit this place. Some of the pictures turned out really blurry because of the rush me and my buddy were in.

Including the one of me sexually molesting a life-size cut out of a gunny. There was another picture of me standing inside one of the surround sound booths where us civilians can "experience" getting screamed at by a D.I. I was smiling from ear-to-ear.

As for marrying a Marine, it sounds nice and all, Switch, but I think I learned my lesson with military guys with this Ranger. Long story short, hopefully he won't try to speak to me again. You know what they say, Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned. Being lied to a drama queen is not something I tolerate from a guy (unless it partained to his job, of course. Duty first.) In any case, I know what you're saying, but Marine/military member or not I don't plan on settling for anything less than top-dog-material. And what a lucky son-of-a-bitch that guy will be.

Oh, and I'm hoping not to have to cut anybody, Switch. But I'll have to show you my warface sometime anyway! ;D

Re: Happy Birthday Minx

I don't have a problem with sharing. I have a problem with the fact that if I put up a picture or two, they'll be on a public forum. If anyone looked hard enough, they could likely find me here and I don't want that to bite me in the ass later. PMs are in line, I suppose.
