Range Report Has anyone Chrono'd 168 FGMM in a 26" barrel

Hello,

I am looking for a rough estimate for what I can expect from my 25.5" barrel using the FGMM 168 grain. Has anyone chrono'd some of this stuff in a 26" barrel? If so, what kind of velocities were you getting.

Average is as follow (each rifle is different and factors such as temperature, elevation, etc... will have some influence).

200 Yards 1.75
300 Yards 3.5
400 Yards 8
500 Yards 11.5
600 Yards 16
700 Yards 21
800 Yards 26.75
900 Yards 33
1000 Yards 42

That's what I use for a velocity of 2650 FPS which is "around" what you would get from your barrel with the factory ammo.

This should give you a start and you can fine tune it with actual tests/results.

I having been getting between 2600 and 2640 from a 24" fn spr with the 168 fgmm. That was from one 15 round string.

I get 2650 from a 22" Bartlein. I have also seen 2610 from a 20" Schneider barrel. Depends on the barrel and chamber. Get a chrono and check it or take the rifle out, shoot it and check the come ups. No two barrels are alike.
