Seen 10 today and got all three of these on one set. yardages were 120, 388, and 250. kind of had a rodeo with 1 getting around us and the 2nd one wouldn't stop as well so shot the 2nd one on the move. 3rd one disappeared so kept calling and we think the one that got around us seen the pickup 1/2 mile behind us and did the ole circle around. spotted him leaving the area and knocked him down at 388 which was very lucky because I didn't have time to range him and I just guessed and spun the turret. Kept calling and getting up to leave when we spotted another one at about 3/4 mile,,, kept working the call and came in to 250 hesitantly so dumped him there.

Missed one on a dog town at 900 that did not want to play.. put it right at his feet.

We were mainly scouting for contests later in the year so we only did about a 1/2 day.

anyway, enjoy the pic.

Re: Hat-Trick on coyotes

We did do some locating w/ electronics but I'm still a little old school and still mostly use hand calls. I will use electronics when I need lots of volume to reach through the wind.

Senderman - I replied to your PM.

Re: Hat-Trick on coyotes

Hoping to get into a few like that this weekend. Got the ol "get up here quick" phone call yesterday. Buddy arrowed a decent 8 point just about dark while raining. He let it lay for the night(bad idea but he knew he hit it a little shy of the boiler room) and the dogs ended up getting to it first. The bounty up there is 25 bucks a head making it almost worth while. Its not nice open country like that. Maybe 250-300 yard sightings. But they will stay that extra 10 yards deep into cover. blah blah blah anyhow Nice shooting!
