Gunsmithing Headspace guages, easy question

I should be able to use some 260 headspace guages to set the headspace on a 308 savage barrel correct?

I see some manufacturers say you can and then some dont say at all.

I was going to order some 308 guages, but i have a 260 set at home already. I think they are forster guages.

Here is the list of gauge interchangeability I have saved on my tab.

All of those should be using a forster hg0243g which is a 243 go gauge.

You should be fine using what you already have.

Yes, I dug them out and they say 243-308 on them. Its been a few years since Ive messed with a savage barrel nut.

Won er shaw 308 savage prefit off gunbroker for $100, looks almost brand new. Going to throw it on the Bighorn Origin until I can my get my proof 6mm barrel to the gunsmith.

Just really want to shoot.
