Hello from Afghanistan

Hello Snipers Hide,

My name is Adam and I am brand new to the site. I am here to increase my knowledge base and provide useful, correct information when I have it.

My back ground is Army Infantry. Spent most of my time in a battalion Sniper Section. Have been to Sniper School at benning. Got out and am now currently working contracts for DOS and DOD.

I see by your name that you have the same feeling as others on the Afghanistan war. It rarely meets the Press's threshold for reporting unless a hotel in Kabul gets hit because they are all staying there or in the local area. As we come up on the thirteenth year we have to wonder what was accomplished? We could have accomplished what we have by not trying to rebuild Afghanistan and paying billions of dollars. Might as well just had one heck of a world party or flushed it down the pooper. Sorry for the rant but I too served my time there in 2008 and I just don't see much in the Return of Investment (ROI) that we have put into that place.
