Rifle Scopes Help, Aimpoint CompM4 parallax problem or not ?

I just purchased a used Aimpoint CompM4 and it appears that it has some parallax issues to me but seeing as I haven't used one before I just wanted to get someone's opinion that has.
I checked everything over to make sure that it was a true CompM4 and not a knock off using another thread with tons of pictures and its legit.
The seller has been great and has offered to take it back if I'm not happy with it but rather than go that route only to find out that's the way Aimpoints are I'd rather get your thoughts.

Nothing is completely parallax free, despite the advertising.
That looks normal at across the room ranges.
I think if you had to use it in your bedroom the bad guy would still be in trouble.....
Try it at 50+ yds before returning it, a 100 yards would be better.
Center your eye and zero the gun at 50 yds, which should work out to zero at 200 yds also.

I would say you dont have a problem, going by eotech's claim that if the scope takes a round or gets mud in the glass, you can tilt the rifle to the side and get the dot in a usable part of the glass.

I could be wrong, but my eotech operates the same.

That is how they are, similar to EOTech. No matter where the dot is in the lens the POA is the POA.

The only reason I question the moving POA is because of these two video's. The first one is in a room and the red dot seems to stay in the same place even though the persons POV changes. The second one is quite a bit further and does the same.
Just want to be sure Appreciate the feedback !

If you look very closely at the videos, you will see that the dot does in fact move in both. In the second video, you can see the dot move from beside the white post to covering the rightmost side of the post. In the teddy bear video it is more difficult to tell, but you can see the dot move across its face.

Call Aimpoint and discuss it with them. Get a return set up and they will treat you right. They do sometimes ship bad ones, but it is a tiny, tiny percentage. A buddy had a bad T1, it was one of the few. It had a parallax problem that increased from 50 yds and out.

If you look at Aimpoint's description of their double lens system, you'd have to conclude that there will always be some movement of the POA if you change the position of your eye. However, the POA should (theoretically) be on a line exactly parallel with the POA from the center of the sight, and the deviation should never be greater than 1/2 the diameter of the inner tube.

Yup, they will always have some parallax. The one my buddy returned had about 12" at 300yds, which was several times what numerous others used for comparison had. He sent it back, got a good one, end of problem - which had been inconsistent group POI on a known good rifle.
The Aimpoint folks make a very good product, with a phenomenal quality record. But anything made by man....
I would speak to Aimpoint and confirm that what is observed is either in or out of specification - you probably first need to take it to a range where you can see what you have, and then proceed as indicated.

Appreciate all your thoughts ! I am keeping it and am very happy to have it. I feel way better knowing that its just the way they function and not a bad optic.

or this quote "...Because of Aimpoint’s unique double lens system, the sights are parallax-free, meaning that no matter where on the lens you see the dot reflected, your point of aim will be your point of impact."

It leads a new Aimpoint person to question the sight when it shows parallax out to 30 yrds lol.
