Jap Arisaka, may be a 6.5 or a 7.7
should have a "MUM" flower on top of receiver, or a spot where one used to be but was ground off

My friend just shot me the pictures and said "bought this at a yard sale - want it"
I will have to get it in my hands and take a closer look.

metal looks good, wood looks like crap, either way its a WW2 era Jap rifle, not real valuable but neat nonetheless. Worth less than 300 but see em go for up to 500

upon closer inspection of the pics it looks like its either a variant im unfumiliar with OR its missing a piece on the left side, it should have a mauser style bolt release like on my Arisaka below(one on the left)
