Night VisionHelp identifying a Vintage Military Starlight Scope
It has some striking similarities of an AN/PVS-2 but isn't, so Im thinking it is the 2's predecessor. I'm far from being an antique night vision expert though, so that's really a shot in the dark. (haha, see what I did there?)

The writing on the side is in English. That could have been for import though, who knows? The battery markings and focus knob look Americanish too. It has some resemblance to the early Brittish IWS as well. Im thinking a PVS-2 and an IWS had a baby.
i dont think that its really vintage. it looks to have modern battery system and variable gain that an active/passive system has. my guess is its german maybe zeiss. looks similar to the zeiss 80 as far as design. i would say its late gen 2 possibly gen 3.
I have one in the basement. I have been unable to identify it either.
I was informed it was a British Army Starlight scope 70's/80's. Mine was confiscated off salmon poachers many years ago and auctioned. It is defo not Gen 3 more like Gen 1 +
There are no other markings on it, everything is in english.
I work at a pawn shop and it came through there, we are trying to get a value on it, don't want to sell it then find out its really rare and worth more.
It's a Oldelft HV 5x80 gen1 weapon sight. It was made in the Netherlands in the 70's-early 80's. I have owned a couple Odelft NVD's over the years. Very well made but old technology. Not particularly rare. I would place the value around $400-$500 tops.
