Help in a 22-250 dissuction.

Me and a buddy where talking today and i had brought up the 22-250 round, he stated that it was a waist of space, now i don't know enough about it to talk smart about the round, what is its propous, he also says that it was a "sniper primary round for assignation" i think hes full of it, i have been looking it up on the internet but asking the champs now.

I've owned quite a few 250's over the years. They have there place in the varmint world and target shooting. As for military use. I've never heard of it being used in any military branch. 308 "7.62x51" is the primary sniper round. I know the 300 Win mag and 338 Lapua is also used. Along with others I am sure.

22-250 Is a great cartridge for varmint, target, and if you can hunt with it in your state is more than capable of taking down a deer. I have owned a few and never seen a critter walk away from the bullet.
