I just sold my S&B klassik and looking for a new scope.
It has to be mil\mil and be sturdy and 30mm so I can use the rings I have.

Right now I cant decide between Nightforce NSX 3.5-15x50 or the 5.5-22x50

The 5.5-22 will cost about 90$ more.

Any input or other scopes in this price range I should look at?

Re: Help me choose a nightforce

I love both my 5.5-22x56. For target shooting, the 22x is very nice. When you look side by side between the 50mm and 56mm, I do notice a difference in brightness. If you can get away with the 56mm objective, then I would lean towards that route.

Re: Help me choose a nightforce

If you are doing tactical shooting I would recommend the 3.5-15x. If you are doing more of a 1000yds belly shooing I would recommend the 5.5-22x50mm. With this said from my experience I feel the 3-15x is a better all around magnification.

Re: Help me choose a nightforce

zero stop is worth the extra coin if you do any type of shooting at different distances at the same time (i.e. tactical comps.) it really helps to be able to dial back to a zero to remember where you are at elevation wise.

And is zero stop worth the exstra cash?

At what zoom is the reticle matching? </div></div>

The RETs. work at the heist power on these.
For the 3.5-15x Field Of View: 27.6ft @ 3.5x 7.3ft @ 15x
For the 5.5-22x Field Of View: 17.5ft @ 5.5x 4.7ft @ 22x
I like the 0-Stop on the MIL Rad turret but on the MOA I prefer the non zero stop so I can see what REV I’m on. With MIL RAD turret you can get a 308 out to 1k in 2 REVS were the MOA turret will take you 4 REVS to get a 308 out to 1k. The when you have a NF 0-Stop turret they do not have any markings to let you know what REV you are on so for me I found it easy to get lost in the REV when using a MOA 0-Stop turret.

Hope this info helps.
