So, due to unforseen changes in my life. I'm now living in MA. And one of my rifles is a 6.5 grendel. I really liked the 123 grain hornady ammo for it. But am stuck where no one will mail me ammo. (sort of) I have a press, and dies for the rifle, and I need a load for nosler 120's with either varget, or 2520. I don't have a crono yet, as that is still on my list. and I'm stranded with the 120's and powder because it's what I brought with me. No local shop is willing to work with me for reloading components. So I'm stuck.

120gr. Nosler BT (6.5 Grendel)

28.0gr.

30.6gr

Stick with the "Ball" powders with the Grendel you will have much better luck. If your going with the 120gr. Nosler BTs try and get some BL-C(2). 31.5gr. seems to be the sweet spot (including me) for alot of people with that load. I get groups at .5 MOA or better with that combo. Dont waste your time using Varget with the 6.5 Grendel.

I have been reloading for awhile now for the Grendel, if you need any other data shoot me a PM.

Alexander Arms and Hodgdon has 6.5 Grendel load data on their websites.

TAC, AA2520, Win748 and BL-C(2) are the best powders to use for the Grendel.

What barrel and Twist do you have?

The 120gr. bullets are the best to shoot out of the Grendel.

Re: Help me with my 6.5 grendel

Varget is the only powder i can get localy, all the shops around here tell me "good luck" when I ask about 2520 or BL-C(2) It's so frustrateing. And bullets are even harder to get, the most common response is "why would you want to load that jap cartrige?" My Barrel is a Sabre 18" with a 1:7.5 twist. The rifle is posted under semi-auto, as my grendel build finally.

I know AA has load data, it's saved to my desktop. I am always in search of more data.

That is a sharp looking grendel.

I have the same exact barrel you have with the same twist. Like I said if you want to know what loads worked for me (Sub-MOA) let me know and I will give you my load data.

If your local stores dont carry any other powder than Varget why dont you just order any type you want online (and bullets)? Im kinda surprised becuase BL-C(2) is usually everywhere.

"Jap Cartridge?" Thats Funny!
