I need to get my FP bushed but was out today and popped a primer. Now when I rack the bolt, I can't "drop the fp". If I put I excess of 12# of pressure o the jewell hvr trigger, the fp will start to drop but won't go all the way.

I put my shilen trigger in the rifle and it works fine. I don't see anything obvious nor do I see anywhere that debris can enter the assembly.

Where do I start?

Re: help w/ Jewell trigger

First off tear the weapon down and inspect the bolt face for cracks, FP assy for damage, if all checks good clean the jewel trigger with lighter fluid, and compressed air, you may have to do that a couple of times to get the crud out.

I'd heard they're not the best for a tactical style rig but, I never listen. I don't know what's gonna replace it but something will.

What's a good trigger avalible with no safety?

Re: help w/ Jewell trigger

You may want to look at Timney also. A much better trigger than RB IMO. I have their #510 nickel plated trigger and I have yet to have a single problem with it.
