I had Paladin Machine make me a two position gas block with a full (.090") and suppressed (.050) "switch". The full position seems to be over gassed. The brass is hitting where the forward assist is. Would you think it is possible to just replace the switch with a smaller diameter hole on the full position, or do I have to get a new gas block?

Barrel if from GAP. .850" diameter, 18" long, 308 caliber, gas block is 6" back. Also I have a slash heavy buffer.

Re: Help with a gas block

Changing the switch to something smaller on the full position should be all that is necessary. if you are comfortable drilling it yourself i would start much smaller like .070" try it and enlarge it till it works. then go up one drill size for reliability and variance in loads. If not just pick a happy medium.
