Hello guys,
I have Redding Competition seating dies for my 223 rem and 260 rem (both from 2011) and I have recently found that Redding offers new VLD micrometers. I am shooting Berger VLDs, so I wanted to ask, if you have some experience with these new vld seating micrometers... Simply if they are worth it for competition seating die.. I was looking on reddiing web and searched like everyting icluding my dies and I did not even found that "magic" number tellling me which of these new heads are suitable for my die. Any ideas where to find that part number? There is really nothing on a die, micrometer or inner sleave..
Tahnks a lot for help and comments

I don't think you change out the micrometer, just the seating stem.

I think just a phone call to Redding, and they will ship them to you for free. I might be wrong on free?

Quick test... are the VLDs seating off the ogive or the tip? If the VLDs are still seating off the ogive no need to change. Only change if the VLD is to slender and seating off the tip.

Pull the seater apart, sit a VLD in the stem by hand and check it out.

There has been instances when the VLDs have been to slender, and hence the need for a new designed VLD stem.

Hope this helps, but thats how I understand it.
