I took a Walther p99 "bond edition" Her majesties secret service in trade a few years ago. its a .40 cal in the box with certificate. Looks to have been shot. Wondered if there is anybody here that might know what its worth today.

Yea thats me last year. Some guy said 900 and another guy saw one go for 5000. I need a little tighter range than that.

As a .40, yours may be HMSS 2 and an Interarms import, no mattter, call Earl. Just know if it is HMSS 2, it is worth far less. Earl is, perhaps, the only person to not only give you the present value but, if you wish, know exactly who would want one, or who would want to sell one. To see his shop is a wonderful experience. He currently has four WA2000's there, one NIB. Enjoy the experience and please come back to tell us what he told you. Grab a copy of the book he and Brigit co-wrote on all things Walther, get him to sign it.
P.S. here is an even rarer variant. I would say whether the JB or the TA, they have one the best SA trigger, and one of the worst DA trigger (smooth but designed by a apprehensive lawyer). But getting to SA is a flash. Either, one the most accurate out of the box in the world. Because of the slide and the great chamber, if your Neilson can go on its ears, you can lock the slide out in 2 seconds. Shames my Glock and I really like my Glock.

I called Earl and talked to him last year. Nice guy. He offered me store credit but the fact that I reside in a communist state (ca)prohibited him from being able to trade for another firearm. I believe it is a second edition. Thanks for the info.
