I believe he truly wants to but in a way his hands are tied. Most don't want this help thinking what they've been told that he's a racist is true and their handlers will stand in his way as much as possible. However there seems to be some light at the end of their tunnel. Earlier this summer many were speaking out against RE and his administration in the city and even others were talking about the #walkaway movement. You are right about the good people there and they are getting screwed 10 ways from Sunday. They've hit rock bottom in more ways than one, here's hoping they are now willing to take a chance for help from, to them, some unexpected places and people.
If you're speaking specifically about the Northeast then you'd be right for the most part. The rest of the north however has more of us gun owning conservatives than you are probably aware of.
That was the first job i had when i got out of high school put the a/c and ventilation in one of the restaurants. Place used to be fun to go to. But that was a long long long time ago. Been a shithole for years
I don’t post much on here, or on the Hide, but I have to say. As someone who grew up up North, and has now made FL my home, and with this latest bullshit being literally down the street, what is going on?
I grew up with guns, on a farm. Raised around guns. Didn’t touch them unless specifically told to or was hunting/going to the range. Never once considered using one because someone pissed me off. My fists were good enough, if it came to that.
What exactly have we done wrong that kids, hell even grown as men, feel like their only way to prove something involved picking up a gun and blasting their way into the spotlight? Have we failed to teach common sense, tolerance, and wrong from right? Have we failed to teach basic principles and discipline?
I fear this will only further influence the tide on the lefts agenda to punish those who actually follow law, rather than focus on the truth of the matter. As someone who spent time in Uncle Sams Misguided Children, and about to start making a family, I am FRIGHTENED of just lays ahead.

Moral relativism has completely replaced right and wrong with copious amounts of personal responsibility, consequences for your actions and respect for others are now considered taboo in todays culture.
Accountability is a core principle of a civilized/moral society.

Jerry has a point on most people being good. But the good have to be willing to step up and support the people putting down the gangster vermin. It won't end by ignoring it it will only grow and grow. Violence usually only ends when met with greater violence. If the Govt won't do it? Sooner or later the people will.
I'm very aware that it's a north eastern thing. I'll also have to include Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Detroit and its surrounding areas.
I could also throw in East St. Louis, Atlanta, Memphis and dozens of other cities that aren't considered north east.
If we head west, I could include a number of cities in Texas, Arizona and even Colorado. But why bother. Most states have shit holes. Some just have more than their fair share.
Even if you look at Florida, the entire metro Dade County area and Jacksonville are shitty too.
