I am sure that there are people who are liberal that care but it seems the ones in charge of actually executing something meaningful there are devoid of that characteristic. I have a few LEO friends there who can attest to the general level of incompetence in play. My view is that it is less about incompetence as it is about putting manpower where it is necessary....and that isn't in the hood

The rule of thumb is don't get involved in shit. Most shootings in Chicago stem from grudges, people involved in other criminal activity. Same here in St. Louis and ESL. The cause and solution for run of the mill violent crime (which makes it I to every Democratic platform ever) is different from spree shooting or what some might call "blaze of glory" shootings. You can reference DOJ reviews of gun violence, programs like Operation Ceasefire that dropped violent crime by essentially paying major criminals to stay in a probation program (stay employed, no drugs, meet with a shrink and a parole officer regularly) that were shut down despite working, the paltforms of the DNC and most local races in these cities also want to tackle crime. I didn't say the cities were run by the DNC, please learn to read before commenting. If you want to learn about the program, read about Operation Ceasefire. If you want too debate its merits start a new thread. Take some time to learn about it.

But these cities are run by the DNC. They have been for close to half a century in some cases. One party rule in most of them.

I am not aware of payments. The NIJ report I attach is what I am aware of during my LE career. Extreme enforcement that might not be well received today.

The (not) funding for future initiatives and the emphasis on these initiatives is interesting reading.

These programs are proven to reduce gang related murders.
In part bc the gangs are easily identifiable.

Not so, with the "pop up" mass shooters.. they are much harder to identify, although after an event, the facts "would appear" to have evidence not acted on...
And there are incidents where knowledge wasnt acted on, and there are incidents where the knowledge was not enough to intervene.
No easy answer for first responders.

I highly doubt these policies are being employed in Boston anymore.

This is "career criminal" enforcement that brought Fed prosecutions.

Im guessing these efforts died during the Obama administration and with the Dem move to the left, even the NFL advocating for more lenient sentencing as another one of their tool actions for the Dem Party, this type of hard core prosecution of dangerous people does not occur as regularly today.
