Can anyone tell me the approximate age of these Herter's No. 6 1/2 small rifle primers? What was the price of these back then?

Re: Herter's Small Rifle Primers

Had at least been back in the sixty's. I remember their mail order catolog. From clothings, camping, tents, ammo and if I recall right, fire arms. Herters was a big word back then. Cost is problary 1/10 of what it is today.

At least 30 years ago as they went out of business in the late 70's.

Ahhh, yes. Herter's Model Perfect. What a catalog. Made everyone want to be a "bull cook" in the Northern Wilderness. I started loading in the middle fifties. Never had the money to buy a thousand primers. Primers like that, of any brand, ran $0.60 per hundred. And stayed about that cost for a decade.
