Just getting started in the long range shooting. Starting out with a Bergara Premier HMR Pro in 6.5 Creedmoor with a TRACT TORIC UHD 30MM 4-20X50 FFP MRAD PRS Long Range Rifle Scope. Took the Bergara Academy in Montana this summer and loved the rifle. Most of my shooting in the past has been hunting antelope, mule deer and elk. Look forward to adding steel to the menu.

I’ve got the opportunity to take some elk on a new deer lease in West Texas. These are escapee exotics from back in the 80/90s but are doing well from what I hear down in the canyons and sometimes on the plateaus. I’ve only hunted Texas hill country and coastal post oak savannah where there are no elk to speak of...aside from high fence operations. I’m new to shots more than 150 yards and game as large as elk so I’m trying to switch mindsets. Gearing up a 300 win right now For this year.
