Seems that most are set between 30-50 yds on low setting? Anyone of Higher quality get down in the 10-20 yd range?

Honest question here: what is the purpose of having something like a 10, 15, 25-yard parallax on a long-range rifle scope?
For versatility, 10y focus for air rifles, for 22's and for centerfire Tactical matches. Focus to see clearly vs a blurred image.
In the shooting sport "Field Target" our steel is from 10 to 55Y and for hunting with air rifles the shots are mostly less than 50Y.
In the 22 tactical matches we used to have we had a few 10Y stages and always had a cutting cards or matchstick stage at 25Y, also quite a few other shots less than 50Y.
Shot a 11Y stage at a centerfire tactical match once, tied for 1st on that stage too. Also shot clay pigeons offhand inside of 50Y. Read of other close stages at other matches.
Better to have and not need, than need and not have....
Before Athlon Optics came along, "most models have close focus" I used to put my S&B 5-25 on my PCP air rifles. Fun using your main optic for other shooting sports.
Ian, you come win a FT match before you claim manliness, not easy by any means and is basically a reduced scale of distance. Pellets blow a lot more in the wind than a 22rf, like 3 times as much since a typical G1 BC is .030 and going 900 fps.
I wish I was 10 again but with a S&B/March riding on a FX..... My SRS 338LM under a Gen 2 27x is starting to get boring at 1700.....
