I was just watching an episode of Law & Order where a kid was supposed to have shot 4 people in NYC with his dad's deer rifle. When they showed the rifle in the ballistics lab the scope was rotated 90 degrees to the left. The up/down turret was on the left and left/right turret was pointing up. It looked like a Tasco. I about cracked up when I saw it. Typical Hollywood snafu.

Or the "Flashpoint" episode where the scope rings were loose, and the scope kept both sliding AND turning as the show went on.

TV is NOT the place for lessons.

and a half a bazillion others.

You never heard of free-floating a scope?

I, AND my kids, gave up on Flashpoint before the first micro-replacement season was over.

1970s CBS gun/crime cliches re-hashed and improved only by better cinematography. IOW, lotta bulls... AND bad tactics, with some bad science mixed in to boot.

It wasn't worth the aggravation to see MP5s roll out.

But Grump, that seat-riveting action and angst-building suspense is the best thing ever produced by the Canadian Entertainment Guru's.

Up here, we have that, or documentaries on tree-bark growth and peeling.

Or the natural flow motivation creator of maple-syrup accumulation. In a 5 part series.
