Hodgdon BL-C(2) .308

I am trying BL-C(2) powder for my Rem 700 with 26in Rock Creek match 5R M24/40 barrel and Berger LRBT Target 175 grain bullets trimmed and pointed . I set my coal at 2.84 and 45Gns of BL-C(2) and I am getting 2700 fps just did a 10 shoot group at 100 yards.
still need to work on my breathing and trigger control.

That's not too bad. I tried BL-C(2) for my Savage .308 when I first started reloading but I could never get consistent groups with it. One group would be 1/2 MOA and then the next would be 1.5 MOA. It was all over the place for me. I got much more consistent groups with Varget, IMR 4064, and Reloader 15. I use the BL-C(2) for my .223 loads in my AR now. It seems to work pretty well for that application.

FWIW Win 748 is basically the same powder so if you have a hard time finding BL-C (2) you can try it.

45g was just getting into the shoulder of the brass Hodgdon load data say's 46 max for 175g

Oops I was just looking at the numbers on paper. I don't really like TAC because it doesn't fill much of the case
