So just picked up a Glock 21 Gen 4 and am wondering what's a good holster. This is just for shooting at the range, out on the farm and what not.

    Also mag pouches.

Just a belt, hip, or leg holster. Just something to hold the weapon at my side when i'm shooting at the range and so on.

Fobus make a decent and cheap holster. Comp-Tac and Tucker Gun Leather both offer some nice stuff but you you will have to wait a least a few weeks and pay more for it.

+1 for Comp-tac I have the Mtac ($80 ish), and use it for EDC.
I also have, and love the Remora holster ($29.95). No clip, inside the waistband reinforced with kydex for easy one handed re-holstering. I wear the Remora around the house (in sweats or shorts), and on trips to the store late at night. Both are great products, both made in the USA with great customer service, a quick search of those names will yield many positive responses. Good luck on your search!

For these purposes only? Just get a Fobus paddle. They're inexpensive, easy to put on, easy to take off, and plenty durable for this task. As a matter of fact, I can't think of a better recommendation. Use Fobus for your mags, also.

But if you're gonna do anything more "high speed" with the gun (self defense carry, competition, etc.), I'd make different recommendations.

I run Blade tech with QD on both holsters and mags. Fit like, well custom. Get their $60 nice ones. They o make some cheaper plastic $30 ones that are week.

Yeah definitely think i'm going fobus thats around the money i'm going to be paying. Haven't gotten my CCW yet, need to, but concealing a Boxy Glock 21 might be a pain as well.

Get with Deadeye351 and ask him how well the B.A. Custom Kydex holster for his 21 hides the 21.

Now you didn't say you were gonna be (attempting to) conceal it. If you had, I would have had to defer a recommendation to others. When I carry a G21, I carry it open in a Galco Concealable Belt Holster. I haven't any experience in carrying this hand cannon concealed, however.

I do stand by my recommendation of Fobus for the range (but nowhere else) or "something" better for anything in addition to the range.
