"Protestor" is firing a class 3 or 4 laser with zero regard for safety... It could be an IR laser too given he has an optic on it. That ain't a toyr or a symbol though, that's a direct energy weapon for blinding your enemy (sometimes permanently, I have one that'll blow your retinas clean off the back of your eyeball). If you aimed a PEQ or high power laser at my face, I'm returning fire with live ammo. If an accidental discharge with a PEQ is considered a "negligent discharge" and treated as such in the army, then an intentional one is an attack on my person.

That said, I wish him luck and hope he blinds the piss out of a bunch of communist yes men. It's coming to a venue near you soon. (PS, buy proper optical density glasses now if you haven't already, they'll be all the rage during the coming boogaloo!)

Based on the angle of the scope relative to the laser, it would not appear that the optic is "functional" in terms of using it to aim the laser.

In any case, and regardless of functionality, there is a (presumably intentional) cosmetic resemblance to a firearm - something we can have, but he can't.... yet.

This is an unpopular opinion but I do not appreciate them waving our flag. Those are our colors, not some foreign socialist democracy freedom flag. They're just waving it because it's the international flag of "democracy" for literally everyone except the people who live here and know it means a whole lot more than that.
