I just went from loading pistol ammo to loading for precision rifle. I soon found out that my manual loader was junk for consistency for the hotter powders. Lil gun you can almost eyeball and be close... So I loaded around 100 rounds using the pour and tap method until that got old. I found a Hornady auto measure at Cabelas for $145 with the sale and local discounts. Bought it with my doubts. At first I was mad at it but soon figured out that it needs to be set on slow and given time to warm up. After that it worked great. I was loading 43 grains of 4832 and it did it perfectly every time. So now I can load way faster.

Bottom line. If you pour powder by hand and can get one of these on sale, do it.

Yep. I check every 5-10 rounds against my calibrated scale. I have a really expensive scale that I also used for seed grading. Works good.
