Hornady's new Factory 140 Amax and Brass

Picked up a box of the new lot number 314 and some new 6.5 brass.The loaded ammo shot .6 to .7 and was loaded with 44.7 grains of some kind of powder seated at 2.815.The new boxes of brass I got ranged in weight from 146.2 to 153.1.I shot this out of my son's 12LRP that I just got back from savage for the second time to get the throat fixed.At least now I can load a 140 amax out to 2.830 instead of 2.740.What kind of BS is this with brass weight?

Are you sure about the COAL of 2.815? If true then 140AMAX wont fit in DPMS mags anymore.

Thats what the box I bought measured.I measured each one and they were all around 2.815.They probably had to do that to get that much powder in the case.
