Rifle Scopes Horus scopes. any good?? and any in Canada ?

Im looking at getting a Horus scope. I was wondering if anyone here has used one and what they thought of it.

Also anyone know were I can order one from in Canada? I live in Alberta and both Edmonton and Calgary seam dry.

The long and the short of it...find something else.

The reticles are nice...but the Horus scopes are not so nice and the warranty and CS suck.

I'm amazed that Horusvision is still in business. If they weren't getting crazy royalties for quality scope companies to use their reticle, they surely would be done for...

For what it's worth, I own one and really like it. I've had no instance to contact customer support support, but the folks I've spoken to when I ordered the scope and other accessories have been pleasant, professional and responsive. The quality of the scope is just fine. I'm not hung up on the 1 year warranty. I'm considering a second one.

It looks like Nightforce is coming out with a model that includes a Horus reticle later this year. This may be more accessible in Canada and may address some of the critical observations others have.

I dont see how that would address any of my critical observations! I sent my scope in for repair in April of 2006.
Im still waiting for it.....

My comment on "addressing critical observations" was referring to Nightforce providing an alternate to buying from Horus. I don't know their customer service track record.

Without knowing more details, I have to agree that your customer service experience with Horus appears intolerably bad.

They must have been talking to me as I was on the phone with them talking about the H58 in the new S&B....

WOW that sucks.. I would be at the other end of the phone talking all kinds of smack until i get it back...
