Legitimate boycotts by us shooters aren't unheard of in the shooting sports, knife, and outdoor sports world, and boycotts aren't always intended to last forever. Here are some ways a company can redeem itself

1) Company is sold to new owners, ex: S&W, Team Wendy helmets, Colt

2) Company enters and competes in a business segment it once denounced, ex: Ruger (The deceased Bill Ruger denounced ARs & normal capacity mags, and now his sons make decent value ARs and semi-auto pistols- all with normal mag capacities in non-restricted states.)

3) A theoretical method, because I can't recall any industry entities that have done this: A complete change in all management, and admission of everything including the lies and coverups, and then beg for forgiveness. This can only work when new management admits ALL lies, misleading info, and the coverups are fully aired.

4) A reversal of any jab, mask, and testing mandates, and the rehiring of anyone fired under such Nazi-like rules.

Some entities are not eligible for redemption because their very existence is the offense, and this covers all CCP companies like Olight, Holoson, Swampfix, Phenix, Nightcore, and others.

4) Take a proactive stance against the opposition: For example, introducing a FJB model with special features.
If in your above example the proactive stance is taken by the legitimately boycotted entity, and the opposition you refer to are the consumers...

Then no, your example is invalid because by definition anyone that weak willed to end a boycott due to some new feature- wouldn't have supported the boycott to begin with.

No, the opposition is not the consumers. The opposition are the gun grabbing commies. If a gun manufacturer wants to redeem itself it needs to take a proactive stance against the opposition rather than being neutral.

Ah, now I understand your point. I edited my title to better clarify the point and scope of my thread.

They could close their doors and set their buildings on fire, that might buy some good will from the Antifa / BLM crowd

There’s a lot of text in the first post, for what I assume is just a vehicle for the OP to- again- say “screw China.”

Perhaps off topic, but Carrier AC- who purports to build their units in the US, is owned by UTC, based in Hartford CT. That based- admittedly- on about 5 min of internet sleuthing. What is your basis for labeling them a CCP Corp? I didn’t look up the rest of the lost, but go by a philosophy of “ if any of the list is suspect, all of the list is suspect...”

Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just passing on the message. Sorry but I noticed that the sound and video is out of sync. It wasn't this way when I first viewed a few years ago.

Every time this issue comes up, the immediate interpretation seems to be that the people who don't want Chinese-made stuff don't want it because it's poor quality.

Speaking for myself, the quality has nothing to do with it.

I see it as hypocritical for companies whose business relies on the 2A to have their products made by slave labor. If Nightforce, Eotech, Trijicon, etc, were making their optics in China, I would absolutely not buy them. Trijicon does make their 3x magnifier in China, which really ticks me off, and Eotech used to make the G30 for a short time in China, but they discontinued it (not sure why, but I wonder if they just didn't like doing business with China).

For me, a product need not be made in the US... I just don't want to fund communist governments (which is why I don't buy stuff out of Russia, either).

I had a Dodge dealer try and cheat me in 1985. Since then, I have helped hundreds of people avoid buying a Dodge. When I met my wife she drove a Dodge Caravan and kind of liked it, I bought her something else she likes even more and no one in my family drives a Dodge. I will never own one and if I won one in a raffle I'd fucking trade it for anything else.

Levi's is extremely anti-gun and when I wrote them and asked them if this was true they sent me a letter back explaining they as a corporation felt we needed to be disarmed and was proud to fund anti-gun groups. As my Levis wore out I replaced them, Dockers too and have never bought a product from them since.........................................I will never buy their Chinese made crap.

Colt makes shit guns and is/was owned by the state of Connecticut and unions for many years. They make poor quality products at high prices. I do not buy anything from them.

I try and buy American for everything possible, it is worth the extra to get something better. That being said, the day the asshole who runs Camping World said, "If you voted for Trump you are not welcome in my stores" I left and never went back, fuck Good Sam.

None other than Malcolm X asked in the 1960's. Why do you spend money at stores and with companies that do not treat you with respect and dignity? I agree with him on this one topic 100%

The question is, Why are you spending money on goods and services with people or companies that disrespect you and our nation?

I really hate the double agent companies.

The First Lite and Yeti problem is probably way bigger than we think it is.

Communist anti-gunners who like hunting (Steven Rinella), and groups like the Backcountry Huntes and Anglers (fags) are in bed with one another and this has spread under the radar (for most of us) to a wide variety of institutions we know and love.

How the fuck do we keep track of who is a fucking red blooded cowboy and who is related to that cunt chelseas clinton?

About 20 years ago we went through this shit with Smith and Wesson and some commie Brit.

Colt was bought by CZ. I like CZ, very good company that also owns Dan Wesson.

i dunno, but being a poor, i don't think i buy enough stuff to care or make a difference if i did.
i do own some chinese products, but all except one were purchased before 2020.
when i bought the arrowhead, i wasn't really thinking about where it was made, but i suppose i made up for that by mounting in a scalarworks mount that cost as much as the scope (and is made here).

No there is more to it than the China connection, everything is made in China. Rare for things not to be. Americans don't want factory jobs.

The problem for First Lite and Yeti has to do with Steven Rinella, the Back Country Hunters and Anglers (BCHA) and Land Tawney the communist.

Be careful who you buy from and what groups you support.

Their goals are to remove all private lands from ranchers and timber companies (private timber lands) and put it in the public coffer.

Socialism is a wonderful thing as long as you are at the top of the socialist food tray.

Everyone else is a poor Chinese, Cuban or North Korean peasant.

We all own Chinese shit and have to support those businesses that stand against us, from time to time. The important thing is trying your dam hardest not to support them. Shedding things like Facebook is a no brainer and everyone should, its an easy thing to do. I'll spend the extra money to support those that support what I believe in.

i have never stepped foot in walmart.
i would rather pay more than support them.
/i have no issues with poors buying milk and diapers there.

why would ammo and powder or primer companies even try to get your trust back when your trapped into buying there procucts one way or another not like your going to make your own powder and primers or press your own brass . Id almost be happy to buy cheap Chinese primers at this point have only seen normal primers once in two years and at one hell of a mark up . Not that there is anything wrong with over charging but nigher is there with a flood of cheaper options that work to force prices back to normal either .

I can't believe I forgot the Turkish gun makers- I'll have to make a list of them. Turkey is still technically in NATO but under Erdogan they've made a hard turn toward stricter islam and have cozied up to China and Russia while distancing themselves from the western world, and while holding American bombs and missiles hostage at our base.
