Now that you've got your lathe set up, gonna do any form 1 builds?

I just finished my Mk1 integral build. Been wanting to add one of these to my collection for awhile, but it took 6 months to get the form 1 back. Built it with a late 60s mk1 I picked up at a local pawn shop.

I got to use all 3 of my machines on this. The manual lathe, manual mill and CNC mill. The first rnd pop is a little annoying, but otherwise it sounds great.

The hardest part was building upwith TIG, and machining the front sight boss. Cobalt cerakoted with G10 grips.

BTW:

If your looking to get your feet wet on a practice project, and end up with a useful chambering tool, I uploaded drawings for my 2 axis floating reamer holder design to hobby machinist. You can download the pdf's here:

I don't put that much radius on the bolt nose recess, don't see a need for it -unless you've got a ridiculously sloppy bolt fit in the receiver it can't do anything but go straight into it.

Have you tried getting a little CO2 dispenser and spraying it down the inside of the can before the first shot to purge all the oxygen?
