Re: How Hard Is It for You To Do A Couple Of Pull Ups?

wow I was scared for them. Those dudes were suckin.

I can bang out pull ups much better than that and I would shit myself doing that haha.

Re: How Hard Is It for You To Do A Couple Of Pull Ups?

I cannot imagine the sheer horror one of them would have felt if they slipped or couldn't get up and their buddies wouldn't help them for whatever reason.

Of all the things in this world not to mess with, I have learned that death and eternity are somewhere in the top 2.

I'm in a training program for wind turbine technicians, or work environment is about 300 feet up. While the result of a fall from 30 feet is about as from 300 feet I have 2 words regarding this.........F&$# that!!!!!

Re: How Hard Is It for You To Do A Couple Of Pull Ups?

Right around 1:45 I was waiting for the guys buddy to start stomping on his fingers while screaming this is for F-in my girlfriend. That would have made the video a lot better and there would be one less idiot in the world.

Not really that big a deal. 2000' makes it cool, but as a Lead Connector (Ironworker) I (and plenty of others) used to do shit like that on a daily basis... and get PAID for it.

Riding a motorcycle, in traffic, with all of the idiots I see on the road: Now that's crazy!

You mean to convince people here that you dangle daily 2k'above ground with no safety connections as a matter of course?

Re: How Hard Is It for You To Do A Couple Of Pull Ups?

Frankly, the tower crane operators have to have a couple screws loose anyway.

I'll stick to lifting heavy shit and feeling just fine about not having to walk beams, fly trusses or any more of that crazy ass high altitude shit!

Ooga Booga

I intended to qualify my response to reflect that I rarely work above 200' (two-hundred) anymore. But over the years I've worked up to 600', or so, hanging iron and communications towers. And yes, I did stuff like this "daily... as a matter of course". Tied-off? Depended on the job... power plants and refineries you just about have to be, but in the coal mines and for tower work--Anything goes for the most part.
